Established in 2002, the Penn State Altoona Club Ice Hockey competes in the College Hockey East (CHE), a collegiate club sports hockey league comprised of colleges and universities from the western Pennsylvania and surrounding areas. The goal of CHE is to offer a competitive league of collegiate hockey teams that provides standards, structure, regulates operation, and promotes sportsmanship on and off the ice. The Penn State Altoona Club Hockey Team is also a member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). The partnership CHE has with the ACHA allows our member teams the opportunity to compete for a national championship while maintaining nationally established standards for players and teams.
The club practices and competes in the Galactic Ice Complex.
